Elemental Allies: Weaving the Soul’s Wisdom

Ground with the Earth

Dream into being

Embrace transformation

Weave your wisdom

Discover the elemental ally rising to meet you now—an archetype offering insight and guidance. Through intuitive weaving, you'll give form to your soul’s wisdom, threading inner knowing into tangible art.

Join us on San Juan Island for a weekend of deep exploration, weaving together the elements of Earth, Fire, Water, Wood and Metal with meditation, dream work, and creative expression. Through guided practices, you'll invite an ally to support your life’s path and identify an archetype emerging in your dreams and imagination.

We will use weaving as a physical manifestation of intuition and connection.

Bring your stories, your dreams, and gather with a group of like minded individuals to explore the inner realm and find an archetype that is emerging in your current life process. Whether you're seeking transformation, artistic inspiration, or a deeper bond with the elemental forces, this retreat offers a sacred space to engage, create, and expand.

Our journey begins…

Friday evening as we sit with the idea of an archetype emerging. We’ll settle in and ground via a gentle movement practice and hone in to what is present for each of us with meditation and journaling.  We’ll warp the looms, creating an intentional structure to support the insights and journey to come.

Saturday & Sunday we’ll explore the archetype that is coming forward, followed by a hands-on weaving experience, where the threads will reflect your soul’s wisdom.

Meet your hosts: Bridget Boylan and Dana Alkebu-Lan

Bridget Boylan

“My name is Bridget and I come from a long line of medical practitioners and Intuitive feeling types. I started out just wanting to help people to feel better physically, hence the Physical Therapy degree.

After a dozen years of experience, I began to see that natural alternatives worked wonders for me and my family. I studied ways to help people to get back to a natural state thru Homeopathy, Natural Medicine, Tai chi, Yoga and Acupuncture.

I developed an interest in studying Chinese Medicine and especially wanted to work with people on the level of body/mind and spirit. I found the Wu Hsing Tao School of Acupuncture, and I learned to work with all ages of people to assist them in getting to their optimal health.

Learning Embodiment, getting in touch with deep feelings and hidden trauma,in order to transmute it, has helped me to see that this was something important to teach others. I then studied Yoga in Seattle, and now I teach yoga to my patients one on one, to let the body guide them thru its wisdom or inner knowing.”

Dana Alkebu-Lan

“I am an artist and weaver living in the beautiful San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest. It is here that I gain my inspiration for the handwoven wall hangings that I weave. Each of my tapestries are an invitation to be present, to discover self, and to experience the beauty of Mother Nature.

As a self-taught fiber artist, I consider my work to be a meditative practice, one that allows me to surrender in a symbolic way, finding that the beauty and meaning in each piece intuitively unfolds as I step out of my mind and into my heart, trusting the materials and my hands to guide me.

Continuously inspired by the seasons in nature, my work focuses on earth tones and textures, using materials such as wool, cotton, linen, driftwood, moss and any treasure I may find. These are the seeds in which I take to my loom. An ode to Mother Nature, a color palette, a feeling and I begin. The design develops along the way, revealing itself with each sitting. Deep listening, intuition and gratefulness guide the shape and tones of the tapestry.

I seek to create both a visual, tactile and emotional experience for the viewer by intricately weaving meaning and feeling into texture and color. Each unique tapestry exhibits a sense of peaceful movement, inviting the viewer inwards to experience a moment of softness, quiet beauty and nourishment for the soul.”
