Taught by Maui-based, award-winning artist Laurie Miller, this workshop will introduce you to an intuitive and approachable method for working with soft pastels—one that encourages spontaneity, joy, and confidence in your creative voice.
Laurie holds a degree in Fine Art from UCLA and is a proud member of both the Pastel Society of America and the Lahaina Arts Society. Her work is represented by several galleries across Maui and Kauai, and her teaching style is warm, encouraging, and grounded in decades of professional experience.
Set in the serene and inspiring setting of Friday Harbor at Luminous Gallery | Studio, you’ll be treated to hands-on guidance, live demos, and ample studio time to explore, experiment, and express yourself through color and composition.
