Weaving Classes

Learn to weave with intention and inner wisdom

“I teach weaving as a sacred, lineage-rooted practice—one that honors the long line of women who have carried this craft forward with their hands, intuition, and stories.

My classes blend technique with ritual and somatic grounding, inviting students to slow down, breathe, and listen for the quiet wisdom that wants to move through them.

Rather than focusing solely on producing a finished piece, we explore weaving as a way of connecting to inner guidance, ancestral memory, and the natural world.”

“ I so enjoy Dana’s intentionality in how she approaches everything!  I love her respect for the sacredness and beauty of the process.  That's probably why it feels like a meditation to me.  My intention was to dig deeper and discover more about myself. As a person who didn't feel like I had it in me to truly let go and be creative, I have discovered through weaving that I am more creative than I thought and that it brings me great peace.” MB

“ Such a beautiful restorative, creative, inspiring retreat! A true gift to share space, time and hearts with each one of you.” KT

Private Classes

In a typical class, we begin with a gentle grounding practice or visualization to help you arrive fully in your body and creative center. From there, I guide you through the fundamentals of loom weaving—setting up your loom, choosing fibers with intention, and learning core techniques—while also encouraging you to follow your own intuitive impulses.

Throughout the session, we explore themes like personal storytelling, symbolic color and texture, and the ways our life threads mirror the weaving process itself.

By the end, you’ll not only have a meaningful piece in progress, but also a deeper connection to your own creative voice and the ancient lineage of this craft.

Format: Small group (you + your friends, 8 people max)

Schedule: 10 hours scheduled over 4 sessions, 2.5 hours long - weekly or every two weeks

Cost: $375 per person

Supplies provided: 14” loom, tapestry needles, scissors, yarn

You bring: 16” driftwood dowel, personal additions (beads, fabric, found objects)

“It took a lot of stretching beyond my comfort zone to even decide to take a weaving class, then invest the money, and then actually show up. You have a gift of reaching inside and helping shed light on spaces people might usually hide away, intentionally or unintentionally.

I think laying the ground with heart work, before even starting to weave sets the stage for an even deeper experience. Your energy and meditation practice helped me calm down, focus, and realize that I can do this, bringing a calm confidence with zero expectation to each session.

Now I can look at my piece and not only reflect on how it makes me feel in its finished form, but also recall how I felt during each step of the process. It’s literally a little diary of the past several weeks. I am feeling more proud of myself than I have in ages, and as you know, my mind is swirling with ideas for future weaves.” BN

“Your approach and practice is part of why we're drawn to your work and teaching!” JR

Welcome Weavers…

Luminous Weaving Circle is a monthly gathering for weaving students to foster connection and creativity.

Each gathering invites weavers to slow down, breathe deeply and weave with intention—transforming yarn into symbolic reminders of love, transformation and feminine wisdom.

Through shared stories, seasonal reflection and heart-led making, the circle becomes a sanctuary for remembering, reclaiming, and reweaving the threads that connect us to beauty, Mother Nature, and each other.

Bring your current project.
